X Dance, X Games Gold, Grand Prix - Jan Recap

Wooo, January was a busy month! Below is a recap of the events, the glory, and the goodness that welcomed STANCE into the new year. Hopefully everyone had a chance to get some turns in already, winter is in full effect.
What happened in January?

1. STANCE was welcomed in XDANCE and nominated for "Best Cinematography", "Core Film", and "Soundtrack." Tons of shredders came out to support the cause and the good times rolled!

2. Grand Prix event at Park City named the US Olympic Snowboard Team, we caught a glimpse of what Vancouver will look like in the pipe, and it bombed snow!

3. Gretchen Bleiler wins her 4th X Games gold medal in pipe, drops a serious 9 on the first hit of her second run, and all around good times are had. Add that win to the 1st place at the Mammoth Mountain Grand Prix stop and January shaped up to be a pretty sweet month overall. Also, the LA Times just dropped a piece on Gretchen, noting that she has "crossover appeal". Cleaning up!

4. STANCE webisodes have been periodically dropping (follow us on Twitter for updates: @stancemovie). Check out webisode #4 for some ridiculous action by Raewyn Reid.

Bottom line: If February looks anything like January we're going to have tons more news to bring you. Thanks for sticking around and checking out the blog!

Torah Bright - Rockstar Number 5

Hoo boy! Its been a quick minute since we dropped a little content for your viewing pleasure.

What's with the delay? Its snowing in Utah hard. The season is ramping up, gear is flowing in, we're lighting fires and dropping bombs left and right. Hopefully you've already gotten a taste of something steep and deep out there!

Our rockstar this post is Torah Bright.

Torah's currently residing right here in Salt Lake while doing her travel, pro-snowboarder thang. We were happy to have her on board for filming and Park City was kind enough to play host for the show. Below are a couple shots from Park City Mountain Resort here in Utah.

Torah's Bio on her site.

Follow us on twitter (@stancemovie), respond to our tweets, retweet our action and keep it fresh.

We're working with Backcountry.com (@backcountrycom) to put together the sweet deals for christmas shopping over at the STANCE landing page:  >> Check it here! <<

Raewyn Reid - Rockstar Number 2

Here again, writing late into the night..

Brighton opens in a few short hours. Snow is on the menu for the next couple weeks and the collective snow community of Salt Lake is grinding its teeth in anticipation.

White gold will soon surround us; in the meantime shots of STANCE rider Raewyn Reid at June Mountain are included below.

Raewyn's entire segment was filmed in one month, she's a Canadian born slayer, a mast-tress of urban and all about keeping things fresh and original.. that's the short and sweet of it.

Peek her segment in STANCE for a true understanding of smooth, confident riding with a feminine flair.

Foot-tastic-ness!
